In honor of one of my favorite couple's month-iversary, I'm so proud to share these photos from Kirsten and Scott's Nashville wedding. The day was so beautifully captured by the ever-so-talented Melanie Grady Photography at The Cordelle, an incredibly beautiful, subtly-modern, natural-light-filled, dream of a venue.
Some of you may have seen my Instagram posts leading up to the Rauscher's big day, but I cannot overemphasize how significant their wedding was for me, as a friend, and as a calligrapher. Working with Kirsten helped me to identify the kind of bride I want to work with forever: someone with passion, someone who sees her wedding day as so much more than a big party. In light of our political and social climate, it was incredibly important for Kirsten to express that EVERYONE was welcome to their wedding. That it was a place of love, of acceptance, of remembrance, and of celebration. Her selflessness, compassion, and care for others made me want to make the best pieces I could for her and Scott's big day. The glass sign to the left was the central piece with a similar leaf and glass motif throughout the other signs.
Happy 1 month of marriage, Scott & Kirsten! <3
